All you need to know about Tax Return

Are you a foreigner living and working in the Czech Republic, who would you need support with the preparation of your annual tax return to fulfill your duties regarding the Tax Reporting?

If you are a full-time employee, there are many reasons why your employer does not want to prepare the tax declaration for 2019 for you, and they might be as follows. Maybe you:

  • had also a different type of income, e.g. from rent,
  • acquired stock options,
  • worked for more than one employer,
  • did not work for the whole of 2019, but just for some months.

Also as a freelancer working based on a trade license, you need to present your Tax Declaration, together with the overviews for the Social Security office and the Health Insurance office. Also in this case we can support you!

The deadline for the submission of your Tax Declaration / Tax Return in the Czech Republic is April 1, 2020.

Important update! Due to the current situation, it is possible to submit your tax return until 1 July! The originals deadline was not officially extended, however penalties for later submission are waived. This is official information provided by the Ministry of Finance.

Did you know that in some cases you can get back some of the taxes that you paid? Yes! You should receive the tax refund for which you are eligible based on your Tax Return within 1 month from the submission.
